Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My favorite bar/restaurant to go to! Very close to home! The staff is amazing especially the bar tenders! Very polite and very friendly people! The food is great! I’ve eaten and drank here for the past three years and never once had a problem! The quesadillas are hands down my favorite and the cheesy breadsticks are amazing! Definitely recommend giving this place a shot! As someone who vapes I love that I can eat drink and smoke without running outside every hour! The patio or the “beach area” as I call it is so peaceful and delightful especially in the summer and fall!!"
"The food was very good. The wait was a little long but there was only one lady pretty much doing all the cooking and waiting on us. We were in no hurry so it was all good."
"Been coming here since I was born. Aside from a couple minor renovations over the years, the place hasn't changed much. Do not come here expecting anything fancy. Dine here, and you will find fair prices, good portions, and excellent tasting food. Your results may vary, because I think there's a pretty high turnover rate for kitchen and waitstaff, but overall I've never had a terrible experience here. Get the wings and the beer battered fries. Go on a Sunday and the wings are half-off and you can get a BIG ASS MUG of beer for $4. Go when it's nice outside and you can sit on "The Beach". I must say, I miss horseshoe on the beach.. maybe it's still there, maybe I just haven't noticed. But I also miss when the beach bar used to be more lively, with live music etc. My biggest peeve with this restaurant, and I know this might sound stupid, is the TV. UPGRADE YOUR DAMN 1982 TUBE. Get a couple flatscreens, put some sports on them. I come to watch games sometimes just because I know I can turn the TV toward me and sit right by it because no one else will bother. It's so '80s lol. I honestly think if you upgraded that one little aspect, it might affect business for the better. Anyways, 5-stars because I've been coming here for almost 30 years and it's never let me down."
"One of the better bars in Lancaster. Crowd is respectful and give you your space. Bartenders tend to pretty awesome lately. Courteous and attentive. Decent beer, frosted mugs are plus. Take out selection seems good as well. Would recommend if you haven't been."
"6 stars. Above and beyond any other bar in Lancaster. Randy, the bartender, is the main monkey. He'll get ya good. Favorite employee. Don't even get me started on sammy.. amazing and pretty oh and the kitchen guy, Lenny, makes a banging beefer. Also ask Doug for a watch if you're looking for one"
"I love their soup menu and they have incredible desserts. Staff is friendly and helpful. No swearing in the bar, which is a nice change. Hit the beach and order a Trash Can (you'll thank me) and make sure you don't drop the F bomb!!"
"Great place to talk to people and have a good time. The drinks are strong and bartenders are friendly. Foods great too! Large portions, made well, aesthetically appealing."
"Great service, food served late, good atmosphere. My only complaint is I'm not a smoker, and there were a lot of people smoking."
